ABOUT ME

Your past isn't supposed to haunt you, it's supposed to empower you

I want to share with everyone my story in hopes to inspire others. I want to give YOU the tools to take care of yourself- (mind, body, and spirit)

-Growing up I can honestly say my life was far from ordinary. My parents are complete opposites which has blessed me with the wisdom of diversity, the one aspect that they shared though was spirituality. They both emphasized how important being surrounded by nature is, they taught me how to use crystal healing bowls, they explained to me how everything is made up of energy, they shaped me into the strong spiritual woman I am today. Unfortunately, my father’s illness came to light when he entered the active stage of his paranoia schizophrenia. Witnessing someone who I admired so much lose themselves so drastically and so quickly changed me. After five years of my family trying to have him seek help my mother, me, and my brothers left. At the age of 15, I turned to the wrong crowd and started experimenting with substances. That experimenting quickly turned to dependance which quickly turned to some of the darkest days of my life; until one day clarity struck me. I realized that the path that I had turned down was full of pain, and that the only places it would lead me to is jail or death. Cold turkey I became clean, I enrolled in Flagler College, I changed my eating habits to organic foods, I exercised regularly, I practiced yoga daily, I meditated, I fell back in love with the world and with myself. Through all of my endeavors I knew that this is my purpose, and it continues to be my inspiration. I intend for my knowledge and my story to inspire others, to give them hope that sobriety is possible. Focusing on the positive aspects of life, and being grateful for everyday gave me the strength in this journey. Still to this day I practice yoga daily, I mediate daily, I exercise regularly, and I eat a very healthy diet. Through mediation and yoga I have developed the miraculous skill of re-centering myself when life feels off balanced. When in deep mediation, after my yoga practice, I reach a state of complete peace. This state of euphoria embodies all elements of love, self-acceptance, and oneness with the energy around me. With the teaching’s from my parents, holistic healing and spirituality was embedded in my soul, I just had to find it again.
